Silicaid® ASP-2 - Release Agent for Asphalt mixers
Characteristics:
Silicaid® ASP-2 is a special Silicone compound especially developed to prevent sticking of road asphalt mixtures to metal or rubber surfaces.
Silicaid® ASP-2 will not cause dissolution or any other interference with the tightening & sticking of the asphalt layers.
Silicaid® ASP-2 adhere to the metal or rubber surfaces and create a Silicone film with a typical unique crystallographic microstructure. The film prohibits the sticking of asphalt aggregates to surfaces even in high bitumen concentration and small size aggregates.
Silicaid® ASP-2 is stable in relatively high temperatures (230° C) which enable it use on very hot surfaces.
Silicaid® ASP-2 contains corrosion inhibitors that provide to surfaces anti-corrosion protection. The silicone ingredients in the compound acting also as lubricants and helping in lubricating the moving parts, for the rubber & plastic parts.
Silicaid® ASP-2 is environmentally friendly and is not cause any harm to the environment or to the user.
Applications:
Silicaid® ASP-2 is used to protect surfaces that have a contact with asphalt in all stages of road paving:
Bulk containers & Railway cars
Asphalt carrying trucks
Steel rollers.
Rubber rollers.
Finishing machinery
Skid-mounted Hot asphalt recycling units
