Characteristics:
Silicaid® 102 is a very firm, viscous Silicone paste that is slightly sticky with a little difference of consistency under medium shear forces, it does not melt or oxidize and it’s chemically inert.
Shows good adhesion, to a variety of surfaces.

Applications:
  • Used primarily as a valve lubricant and sealant on glass, rubber & plastic.
  • Anti-stick and sealant for gaskets and O-rings, prevents the sticking of gaskets to metal and resists Weathering and water washout.
  • Sealant for vacuum & pressure systems.
  • Non-hardening sealant for outdoor equipments.
  • Damping medium in electronic & electrical equipments.

Shelf Life:
Silicaid® 102 has a shelf life of minimum 6 months if stored in tightly closed original container.

How to Use:
Silicaid® 102 can be applied by brushing or wiping.
The thickness of layer depends on the degree of pollution and fumes, but generally a coat of 0.2 - 0.7 mm's thickness will provide a protection of about two years.
Removing is easy and can be done by wiping with a rag and/or solvent soaked rag.

Safety Instructions:
Although Silicones are particularly inert physiologically and appear to be essentially non-toxic, temporary discomfort may be produced from eye contact with them.
