Characteristics:
Silicaid® 1010 is a grease-like silicone compound with high thermal conductivity, good releasing power, good water repellency, excellent insulation properties, low surface tension, and good stability in high temperatures.
Applications:
- For coating high tension insulators, protecting them against contamination and thus avoiding corona Discharge, surface leaking, etc.
- For water repellency in ignition systems, batteries, connectors, etc.
- Heat sink compound for power transistors
- As anti-corrosive lubricant for metal-plastic and metal-rubber system.
- As anti-corrosive protection for screw threads in ammunition & military industries.
- As release agent in the plastic & rubber manufacturing.
- As sealing compound for rubber, plastic & fiber seals.
- As valve seal lubricant.
- As protective coatings of O-rings & rubber parts.
- As a general laboratory grease.

Military Specifications:
Silicaid® 1010 can be formulated to meet the requirements of MIL-S-8660 & MIL-C-21567 (salt spray resistance).
Shelf Life:
Silicaid® 1010 is light gray in appearance and does not crack or harden by aging.
Silicaid® 1010 has a shelf life of minimum 12 months if stored in tightly closed original container.
How to Use:
Silicaid® 1010 can be applied by brushing or wiping.

Although Silicones are particularly inert physiologically and appear to be essentially non-toxic, temporary discomfort may be produced from eye contact with them.
